"My son has lived with part supported help for 20 years, however he was assaulted whilst out on his own some time ago. From that time he lost all of his confidence and seldom went out and never on his own.

Since the introduction of 24/7 care his quality of life has changed, he has regained his confidence although still not going out on his own he has a fuller life now socialising and carrying out  activities that he loves i.e. the cinema and the theatre and eating out. He continues to go sailing during the summer.

The carers provided have in the main been of a high quality. He has one carer almost full time 3 weeks out of the month, this has proved to be a great success as they are able to maintain a good relationship. She has learned to understand him, keeps the flat spotless and he is always well turned out."

When I first found out that I had Parkinson's, I was initially receiving care from a Domiciliary care company. This was for morning calls only. These calls were sufficient at first but as my Parkinson's deteriorated I began to struggle especially in the evenings.

I was running a farm full time and needed the peace of mind that I had someone there to support me with my household chores, enabling me to remain as independent as possible. I am slower now due to my Parkinson's but I didn't want my Parkinson's to impact my day to day life. Having a live-in carer gives me the peace of mind, knowing that I have someone here in the event of an emergency. Noble Live-in was recommended to me by the Domiciliary company and I was happy with the assessment process.

I feel my Live-in carer was well matched with me and we get on really well. I wanted the opportunity to trial Live-in care to see if it was a suitable alternative for me. I am really enjoying having someone here and happy with how things are going.
