Finalist in the Women Achieving Greatness in Social Care Awards

Noble Live-in Care Operations Manager has been nominated as a finalist for the Care Talk Women Achieving Greatness in Social Care Awards 2023.

Kirsty moved into the care sector in 2011 after her father passed away, as she wanted to make a difference to people in care. Her father was diagnosed with terminal throat cancer and spent the last few months of his life in a hospice. At the time, Kirsty was not aware that there were alternatives like Live-in Care although her father had wanted to die in his own home.

Kirsty has gone from strength to strength within the care sector and in 2021, Kirsty was approached by Mihomecare (part of the City and County Healthcare Group) to head up their live-in business. Kirsty now works for Noble Live-in Care, as their Operations Manager and is keen to develop and grow the business and to promote awareness within the care sector around Live-in Care for both the elderly with dementia and alzheimers, for example, and the Young Adult Sector with disabilities.

The purpose of WAGS is to create an informal forum of women leaders from all areas of social care. Through campaigns and a programme of networking and social events WAGS will bring together women leaders who work in all areas of social care, in all job roles, creating a movement to inspire women leaders of tomorrow and providing a platform for support, empowerment and real change for the sector. This unique initiative will culminate in a Gala Awards which will celebrate the achievements of women in social care.

Over 85% of the social care workforce is female.  Many of these hard working, dedicated and talented women juggle the challenges of family life with their career. The purpose of the WAGS is to promote gender equity and promote and celebrate the incredible achievements of our female workforce.

Kirsty has been invited to the WAGS Ceremony to take place on 21st November 2023 at The London Marriott Grosvenor Square. The evening will be hosted by celebrity guest, Good Morning Britain’s Ranvir Singh.
